Carolina: Hi, What´s your name? I am Carolina.

John: Nice to meet you, my name is John.

Carolina: Nice to meet you John.  So, are you new at school?

John: Yes, my family and I arrived in the country last month.

Carolina: Where are you and your family from?

John: We are from Australia, my father had to come to this country for his job. Are you American?

Carolina: Yes, we were born here, in the United States. Tell me, how big is your family?

John: We are four people: My parents, my sister and I.

Carolina: Your family is smaller than mine. There are more people in my family: My parents, my three brothers and I. By the way, which is the biggest city in Australia?

John: It is Brisbane.

Carolina: I thought it was Sidney.

John: Sidney and Melbourne are more populated than Brisbane, but I am sure Brisbane is bigger than Sydney.

Carolina: All right, that´s good to know. Do you practice any sports?

John: Yes, I love soccer. My favorite team is Manchester United, the Red Devils. What is the most popular soccer team in the USA?

Carolina: I think, it is Los Angeles Galaxy or Los Angeles FC. But I am not sure. The most popular sport here is basketball. My favorite team is Los Angeles Lakers.

John: In Australia most people practice rugby. I believe soccer is not as popular as basketball here in the States.

Carolina: Actually, there is a soccer team here at school. In case you want to join the team, you can ask Mr. O´brien, he is the coach of the team.

John: Thank you very much.

Carolina: You´re welcome. Ok, John, I have to go to class.

John: It was nice to meet you, goodbye.
