Stev<\/span><\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql ii04i59q\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Esta especies se distribuye en la regi\u00f3n conocida como Carso Huasteco en el noroeste de M\u00e9xico, en los estados de San Luis Potos\u00ed, Hidalgo y Quer\u00e9taro. Habita en bosque mes\u00f3filo de monta\u00f1a y bosque de encinos, entre 900 y 1,200 metros sobre rocas k\u00e1rsticas.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-269\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uv.mx\/personal\/enicolalde\/files\/2021\/01\/DSC_0192-2-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"243\" height=\"161\" \/>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uv.mx\/personal\/enicolalde\/files\/2021\/01\/DSC_0097-2-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"239\" height=\"159\" \/>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-271\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uv.mx\/personal\/enicolalde\/files\/2021\/01\/DSC_0103-2-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"239\" height=\"158\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql ii04i59q\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Se caracteriza por sus hojas emergentes de color caf\u00e9 rojizo; esta coloraci\u00f3n se mantiene en las hojas maduras en el peciolo y el raquis; adem\u00e1s, en la articulaci\u00f3n, el margen y las venas de los fol\u00edolos. El peciolo posee aguijones cortos y abundantes. Cada hoja mide entre 1 y 2 metros de largo con 20 a 42 pares de fol\u00edolos los cuales son oblongos y cori\u00e1ceos.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-272\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uv.mx\/personal\/enicolalde\/files\/2021\/01\/DSC_0707-199x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"134\" height=\"202\" \/>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-273\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uv.mx\/personal\/enicolalde\/files\/2021\/01\/DSC_0699-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"303\" height=\"201\" \/>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-274\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uv.mx\/personal\/enicolalde\/files\/2021\/01\/DSC_0713-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"304\" height=\"202\" \/><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Los estr\u00f3bilos polin\u00edferos miden hasta 30 cm de largo, verdes con pubescencia caf\u00e9 rojiza al madurar. El estr\u00f3bilo ovul\u00edfero presenta un color caf\u00e9 rojizo debido a los tricomas abundantes sobre todo el extremo distal de las megaspor\u00f3filas, un color gris\u00e1ceo al madurar, con \u00e1pice acuminado; las megaspor\u00f3filas poseen una cara distal prominente.
