Ha dirigido trabajos de licenciatura, maestr\u00eda y doctorado. Ha publicado  m\u00e1s de 96 art\u00edculos cient\u00edficos, cap\u00edtulos de libro y libros. Ha sido responsable de proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n con financiamiento nacional e internacional. Cuenta con 3 registros de patente otorgados por el Instituto Mexicano de la Propiedad Industrial (IMPI). En 2020 fue reconocido con el Premio Estatal de Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda otorgado por el Goberno de Veracruz y el Consejo Veracruzano de Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda (COVEICyDET). Es miembro regular de la Acad\u00e9mia Mexicana de Ciencias (AMC) desde noviembre de 2018.
