AT&T Invites Applications for
Industrial Ecology Fellowship Grants |

Telecommunications giant AT&T is offering $150,000 in fellowship
grants to universities to further academic research in the emerging
field of industrial ecology, the study of industrial and economic
systems and their link- ages with fundamental natural systems.
Grants will be awarded to faculty members at six univer- sities
whose proposed research best advances the field.
The AT&T Foundation and AT&T technical experts will select
the winners.
Proposals that are interdisciplinary in nature, including joint
proposals from individuals in different academic departments, are
encouraged. Proposals in which new matching funds are available
from other sources will be favorably received. Proposals that address
industrial ecology issues involving service sectors and activities
