AT&T Invites Applications for
Industrial Ecology Fellowship Grants
Deadline: August 22, 2003

Telecommunications giant AT&T is offering $150,000 in fellowship grants to universities to further academic research in the emerging field of industrial ecology, the study of industrial and economic systems and their link- ages with fundamental natural systems.

Grants will be awarded to faculty members at six univer- sities whose proposed research best advances the field.

The AT&T Foundation and AT&T technical experts will select the winners.

Proposals that are interdisciplinary in nature, including joint proposals from individuals in different academic departments, are encouraged. Proposals in which new matching funds are available from other sources will be favorably received. Proposals that address industrial ecology issues involving service sectors and activities will be favored. To view a program summary and guidelines, visit the AT&T Web site.
